About
Wincluded is dedicated to addressing the needs of children and young people, aged 8 to 18, who have special educational needs and/or disabilities; including but not limited to Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, Education, Health, and Care (EHC) Plans, Education Other Than At School (EOTAS) packages and Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA).
Our mission is twofold:
Firstly, we strive to enrich the educational experiences of these individuals by offering access to educational sessions and activities that complement and/or supplement their school learning. These opportunities will be funded partially or fully, by the charity, bridging gaps that financial constraints often create.
Secondly, Wincluded is committed to supporting schools and educational institutions throughout England and Wales in effectively meeting the diverse needs of students with SEND and/or SEMH requirements. We offer tailored support, valuable resources, and comprehensive reviews to ensure that these institutions are equipped with the necessary tools, knowledge and strategies to foster an inclusive learning environment for all students.
Through these initiatives, Wincluded aims to empower children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, enabling them to reach their full potential and thrive in both academic and social settings.
What we do
We empower education by providing resources and support to those in need, creating a brighter future for all.
Our Interim Funding Service aims to provide timely financial support for individuals who are awaiting school placements, Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), or Education Other Than At School (EOTAS) funding or reviews.
Our Consultancy Service provides expert, knowledgable and experienced advice and support to local schools and organisations seeking assistance in effectively supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges or reengagement.
Our Activity Funding aims to remove financial barriers and ensure equal access to inclusive and accessible activities for individuals facing challenges related to SEND and SEMH.
Outcomes
Improved educational outcomes
By tailoring support and educational activities, we aim to enhance learning experiences, leading to improved academic performance, increased confidence, and greater engagement in their education.
Enhanced social integration
Our opportunities provide individuals with SEND, the chance to build social connections, develop friendships, and participate in community activities, reducing social isolation and promoting a sense of belonging and inclusion.
Successful transitions
Assisting individuals in navigating transitions between educational settings or from education to adulthood with confidence and readiness. This leads to smoother transitions, increased independence, and improved outcomes in post-school life.
